Understanding The Differences Among Liposuction, Weight Loss, And Coolsculpting

by Chester Williams

Trying to slim down is a problem hundreds of thousands of Americans face every day and every year. At one point, you either lost the weight, or you had liposuction. However, liposuction only works for those that have reached or come close to their goal weight. That means that many more people are stuck trying to lose the weight. Then the Coolsculpting procedure came along and gave consumers a third option that works for everyone. Here are the differences among these three options, and why you might finally have a solution for your fat.

Weight Loss

Weight loss is tried and true, but only effective for the most disciplined of people. Even if you lose all the weight you want to lose, it is too easy to slip back into old eating habits. What is more, losing weight only shrinks the fat cells you have. It does not destroy or eliminate the fat cells, as these cells have been with you since your teen years. Weight loss does not destroy them; you can't create new fat cells either. The cells you have just shrink or enlarge as you lose or gain weight.

Liposuction

Liposuction definitely removes your fat cells, but only after you have spent months or years losing weight. A cosmetic surgeon will not perform liposuction on anybody who has not done all things possible to lose weight first. There are many rules, regulations, and restrictions too, all of which prevent how much fat may be removed and from which location. If you want more fat cells dissolved and removed, you have to wait several months for another procedure too.

Coolsculpting

Cryolipolysis, a treatment to eliminate fat, is sold under the Coolsculpting name. The treatment machine applies extreme cold to areas of your body, freezing many of the fat cells until it kills them. With the cells dead, the body reacts via phagocytosis (eating cells), consuming the dead cells and flushing them out of your body. Imagine, the fat cells you have had for decades are completely eliminated. If you were to regain weight, ONLY the remaining fat cells would grow in size. The dead and eliminated cells would not because they are no longer there.

The best part is that this does not hurt much. There is no surgery. There are no restrictions on the number of treatments you can purchase or the areas you want to treat. Additionally, you do not have to lose weight to treat your fat, making this an ideal solution for anyone that wants their jelly rolls to go away.

About Me

Updating Your Look

A few months ago, I realized that I wanted to look a little bit younger. I got a job as a marketing representative, so I found myself traveling from place to place to sell our company's products and services. However, my older look seemed to be holding me back from communicating effectively with the younger crowd. To correct this problem, I started investigating plastic surgery, and I was really impressed with how many procedures were out there that could improve my appearance. I was able to completely overhaul my look by going through and undergoing a few procedures, and now I feel great. This blog is all about updating your look with plastic surgery.
