Mommy Makeover: 3 Procedures You May Want To Have Done After Baby

by Chester Williams

Having a baby may be one of the best things you ever do but it also may be one of the most challenging. For a lot of women, not only is pregnancy a bit difficult but recovering afterwards can seem like it takes a lifetime. Even though you can lose the excess baby weight on your own with some patience, hard work, and dedication, there are a few things that may not go back to normal. Because of this, doctors have created a procedure called the mommy makeover. A mommy makeover is a combination of several procedures to help women get their pre-baby body back. Three of the most common procedures that are part of the mommy makeover are a breast lift, a breast augmentation, and a tummy tuck.

Breast Lift

Your breasts have been through it all; especially if you breast fed your babies after pregnancy. Not only do your breasts get larger during pregnancy, but as they fill up with milk when you are breastfeeding, they will get even larger. All of that stretching will make your breasts lose a lot of their natural volume once you stop breastfeeding and are done with pregnancy. Because of this, a lot of women experience sagging breasts. During a breast lift, your doctor will remove excess tissue and skin from the breasts and then surgically lift them so that they sit higher on your chest.

Breast Augmentation

A lot of times, doctors will recommend that you get a breast augmentation in conjunction with your breast lift. A breast augmentation will help you get the perfect shape of breasts you want and it will make them a lot fuller as well. Typically, these surgeries will be done at the same time.

Starting out, your surgeon will perform the breast lift and then your surgeon will insert a breast implant into the breasts and then close them up.

Tummy Tuck

A tummy tuck is a surgery that is used to remove excess skin and fat on the abdomen. Because your stomach stretches a lot during pregnancy, it can leave you with a lot of excess skin that won't go back to normal. During a tummy tuck, your doctor will lift and tighten all of the skin on your abdomen to give you that pre-baby stomach that you want to have back. Also, your doctor may perform liposuction at this time as well to help you get rid of stubborn fat on your abdomen.

About Me

Updating Your Look

A few months ago, I realized that I wanted to look a little bit younger. I got a job as a marketing representative, so I found myself traveling from place to place to sell our company's products and services. However, my older look seemed to be holding me back from communicating effectively with the younger crowd. To correct this problem, I started investigating plastic surgery, and I was really impressed with how many procedures were out there that could improve my appearance. I was able to completely overhaul my look by going through and undergoing a few procedures, and now I feel great. This blog is all about updating your look with plastic surgery.
